Craig Revel Horwood
Born in the Australian city of Ballarat in 1965, Craig moved to the UK in 1989 and in 2011, became a British citizen, where he has had a successful career spanning more than 4 decades. Although primarily a Director and Choreographer he is a jack of all trades with talents ranging from cooking to art, drag to conducting and much more!
He is the longest serving judge on one of the BBC’s most successful shows Strictly Come Dancing - a role he has held for 19 years and also currently judges on Dancing with the Stars Australia. He has also made annual appearances in pantomime since 2009.
Craig has had a flourishing theatrical career starring in critically acclaimed shows such as Cats, Miss Saigon and Annie. His behind the scenes career has taken a similar path being nominated for an Oliver award for best choreography twice - for Spend Spend Spend & My One and Only.
In 2022, Craig embarked on his debut solo tour around the UK and reprised the role of his former drag act and alter ego Lavish. The show also featured singing & tap dancing.
Additional achievements include an honorary degree, three autobiographies, his silver screen debut and a best selling novel. His Christmas single, despite having limited exposure, charted at 21 on iTunes.
In 2024, Craig will be performing in The Wizard Of Oz UK Tour. He will also direct and choreograph Now that’s what I call a musical! which will open in September.
